Green River College is a two-year public college in Washington State that offers more than 75 different degrees and certificates. The campus is located on 186 acres of forested land and is known for its beautiful park-like setting, and its safe, friendly and peaceful study environment.

Seattle is about 45 minutes north of Green River. This major international city is home to Microsoft, Boeing, Amazon, and Starbucks Coffee. A trip to Seattle is included in the new student orientation each quarter.

*Depending on assessment and placement, students may need to take non-transferable, developmental classes and the program may take longer than two years.

A key to success at Green River and beyond is the individual transfer plan. Students work with their assigned advisor to develop a plan that includes: student’s major, destination transfer universities, and Green River course plan.

HIGH SCHOOL COMPLETION

FOR HIGHLY MOTIVATED STUDENTS

SAVE TIME AND MONEY: Get a Washington State High School Diploma plus earn transferable university credits at the same time.

EARN DUAL DEGREES: Earn two degrees for the price and time of one. Graduate in just two years with a high school diploma plus a university transfer associate degree.

FAST TRACK: Enter college before finishing high school and graduate from university at least one year earlier than your high school classmates.
INTENSIVE ENGLISH
The Intensive English Program (IEP) provides strong academic English preparation for students entering a college or university.
• 20 instructional hours of class per week (summer varies)
• 5 Levels: Basic to Academic Bridge (each level takes one quarter to complete)
• Course Content: Grammar, Writing, Reading, Listening and Speaking and academic credit in level 5.
Graduates of IEP qualify to take academic classes without TOEFL

GAP YEAR

The Gap Year at Green River provides an opportunity for students to study abroad in the U.S. during the “gap year” between secondary education and university. Depending upon the courses taken and the policies of the receiving university, some of these courses may be transferable.
