TOTAL COST OF ATTENDANCE AT SUNY PLATTSBURGH: $35,800
2018-19 cost of attendance includes tuition for one academic year (two semesters), estimated mandatory student fees, health insurance, food, and housing costs. Total cost increases approximately 5% annually.
SUNY Plattsburgh offers scholarships to all accepted international students. The scholarship packages typically cover between 20 – 40% of the total cost of attendance, and are renewable each year.

We believe that in order to be a successful student at SUNY Plattsburgh, you must have also been a good student in your home country. Admission is based on your previous academic achievement, including:
• School grades
• English proficiency
• Completed application
• Test scores
• Personal essay
• 85+/100 (3.0+/4.0) high school average
• SAT is not required but is strongly
encouraged as scholarships are awarded in part based on SAT scores.
• 2.5+/4.0 overall grade point average
Unrestricted enrollment into degree program:
• TOEFL 76+
• IELTS 6.5+
Requirements for enrollment through the English Bridge Program:
• TOEFL: 45+
• IELTS: 5.0+

HOW TO APPLY:
Apply for fall or spring admission using either the SUNY Plattsburgh International Undergraduate Application or the Common Application.
A completed application is necessary prior to consideration. This includes a completed application form, the application fee, and all required academic and financial documents.
WHEN TO APPLY: We begin reviewing applications for enrollment in August (fall semester) on or about November 1 of the prior year.
We begin reviewing applications for enrollment in January (spring semester) on or about September 1 of the prior year.
We continue reviewing applications until all seats for new international students are filled for each semester.
