We are a busy campus, with a student association budget of more than $1.3 million dollar

budget used to fund clubs, organizations, as well as fun activities and trips for students

throughout the year. Some popular excursions off campus include Six Flags Great Escape

amusement park, and downtown Montreal. On campus activities include international

food festivals, newly released movies, and musical performances.

SUNY PLATTSBURGH: $27,000 USD

COSTS AND

SCHOLARSHIPS
 

2022-23 cost of attendance includes

tuition for one academic year (two semesters),

estimated mandatory student fees, health

insurance, food, and housing costs. In

addition to the billed costs, students must

also self-fund some significant and expected 

unbilled expenses such as textbooks and

supplies. The average amount students spend

on these expenses is $3,000 per year.

SCHOLARSHIPS 

We award a portion of our scholarship

package based on academic merit.

You will automatically be considered

for all of our scholarships when

your application is reviewed.

SUNY Plattsburgh offers partial scholarships

to all accepted international students.

The scholarship packages typically cover

between 20 – 40% of the total cost of

attendance, and are renewable each year. 

Application Requirements

ADMISSION CRITERIA

HOW TO APPLY:
Apply for fall or spring admission using either the SUNY Plattsburgh International

Undergraduate Application or the Common Application.
A completed application is necessary prior to consideration. This includes a completed

application form, the application fee, and all required academic and financial

documents.
WHEN TO APPLY: We begin reviewing applications for enrollment in August (fall

semester) on or about November 1 of the prior year.
We begin reviewing applications for enrollment in January (spring semester) on or about

September 1 of the prior year.
We continue reviewing applications until all seats for new international students are

filled for each semester. 

We believe that in order to be a successful student at SUNY Plattsburgh, you must

have also been a good student in your home country. Admission is based on your

previous academic achievement, including:
